The BRUCE HENDRY Family are fifth generation Hendry County, Florida ranchers.
BRUCE HENDRY is a direct descendent of Hendry County founder, CAPTAIN F.A. HENDRY.
He is also a great-grandson of Red Cattle Company founder, BOB ROBERTS. Bruce , his wife Karen, & daughter Rachel, have lived on, & worked, their Hendry County property for 25 years.
Their ROCK LAKE property is one of the last pristine areas remaining in Florida. THE HENDRY FOUNDATION was founded to provide a natural wildlife refuge in the middle of an ever expanding encroachment by row crop and citrus farming. In the last 30 years, many of South Floridas large properties have been divided or sold, inviting residential development.
THE HENDRY FOUNDATION maintains their property as a refuge for panther,bear,turkey,deer,sandhill cranes and all varieties of native Florida Wildlife.
The photos in this Gallery are available for a TAX DEDUCTIBLE donation to help maintain this pristine wilderness area. THE HENDRY FOUNDATION also offers SCHOLARSHIPS from these proceeds to deserving individuals entering fields relative to its' goals.
